AI ETHICS FOR BUSINESS ANALYTICS

This course will explore the ethical challenges that businesses face when making use of AI, and standards which have been proposed as solutions to these challenges, in the following areas: (1) Data Ownership, (2) Explainability, (3) Non-Discrimination, (4) Fairness, (5) Safety, and (6) Liability. At a deeper level, we will analyze the normative arguments behind these standards, and develop skills in defending the company's choice of standards. Finally, students will gain practical experience in evaluating predictive and generative AI models using these standards. Familiarity with machine learning methods and python is expected.
